IISER Kolkata invites applications from motivated students for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme for the Autumn 2025. The selected candidates can do Ph.D. in any of the following disciplines: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences,Computational and Data Sciences, Earth Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics,Physical Sciences and Space Sciences.
Reservations for candidates will be as per Govt.of India norms.
Application fee (non-refundable) for GEN, EWS, OBC-NCL: ₹ 200/-
Application fee (non-refundable) for PwD, SC, ST: ₹ 100/-

Important note to the candidates appearing for the interview requested to bring following documents:
1. All the candidates are requested to report at Room No. G02, LHC, IISER Kolkata on the interview date.
2. One copy of an online filled application form.
3. Original identity card.
4. Original educational qualification certificates.
5. Original qualifying exam (NET Category-1/NET-JRF, NET Category-2/NET-LS, NET Category-3, GATE, JEST, INSPIRE, RGNF, Women Scientist Scheme A) certificates.
5. One set of photocopies of all required documents (identify card, educational qualification certificates, qualifying exam certificates)
6. Two recommendation letters to be sent to email id: dps.phd.application [@] iiserkol.ac.in
with a subject: Recommendation Letter for Applicant Name (Application No) , if not candidate can bring in sealed cover to the interview.
