Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata, one of the leading Indian research institutes, admits international students to the following programmes offered by the Institute.

• BS-MS Dual Degree Programme in Computational and Data Sciences

• Master of Science Programme

• MS by Research

• Doctor of Philosophy Programme

Master of Science Programme is currently offered by the departments of Chemical Sciences; and Mathematics and Statistics.

MS by Research is currently offered by the Department of Biological Sciences; and Center of Excellence in Space Sciences India (CESSI).

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is offered in the fields of Biological Sciences; Chemical Sciences; Computational and Data Sciences; Earth Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences (Economic Sciences); Mathematics and Statistics; Physical Sciences; and Space Sciences.

How to Apply

International students can apply through the 'Study in India' Programme launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India

Selection:

Selection of students will be on the basis of their academic record and a web interview.

Funding:

PhD Fellowships are available to international students.
 Eligible students will receive a fellowship of:-
 i) JRF (first two years as per norms) : Rs. 37,000/-
 ii)SRF (next three three years as per norms) : Rs. 42,000/-
