List of shortlisted candidates for screening for Spring 2021 PhD admission at DMS

Important Notice : Due to COVID-19 pandemic we are not able to conduct a direct written test/interview at IISER Kolkata. We will be having a screening followed by an online interview for candidates shortlisted further. Please note that, to process the application further for screening, one must fill up the following Google form by November 20, 2020: Click Here

Please avoid submitting this form more than once.

Please note the following important points:

1. The screening may include a telephonic/online discussion and subsequently, there will be an online interview (for candidates shortlisted after screening). Both will revolve around the research area you choose in the form (this is set as per advertisement). Please select the area carefully as it can not be changed later.

2. The telephonic/online discussion, if any, for screening, will be done during November 21-23, 2020. Thus you are required to specify contact nos. and the time slots you prefer (1000 -1200/ 1600 - 1800) in the Google form.

3. The online Interview (for candidates shortlisted through screening) will be during : 30 November - 1st December, 2020 tentatively.

4. Please ask your referees to write an email/letter of recommendation from his/her official email address in the format provided in the link: Click Here
Subject line/file name of the recommendation letter/email should be of the form (candidate name)_(application no.).
Both the recommendations should reach us in the email: dms.phd.application@iiserkol.ac.in within November 20, 2020.
If it is not possible to send a scan copy of the filled up reco form the link (Click Here). Under this covid situation, it is enough to send the recommendation over email in the following format.

Note that during this COVID-19 pandemic, to maintain the clarity of the admission process we are not able to take recommendations over the phone. We can only accept recommendation letters in email from the official email address of the two referees.

5. Please name and upload the documents as instructed in the Google form. This is meant for verification purposes. Date of award letter (or date of mark statement/scorecard) for the Externally funded fellowship (NET-JRF/NBHM-JRF) to be availed. If the award letter/mark statement/scorecard is not available, only in that case one should write the date of declaration of the result in Google form. For final year students, upload in a single file the provisional marksheet available till now for master degree along with your undergraduate marksheet.

6. Important Dates:

PhD application (Google form) portal opens: November 13, 2020

Application (Google form) portal closes: November 20, 2020

Last date of receiving email recommendation from both the referees: November 20 , 2020

Publication of list of candidates shortlisted after screening: November 24, 2020

Tentative Online Interview dates: November 30 - 1st December, 2020

Publication of PhD interview results: December 7, 2020.
